2026 Asset Champions Awards | YMCA PROJECT CORNERSTONE
CONGRATULATIONS 2026 AWARDEES
Award recipients include organizations, schools, and individuals who support YMCA Project Cornerstone’s mission of building a web of support around young people to help them grow into healthy, caring, and responsible adults. This year's Asset Champions are:
- Adult Role Model: Joanne Bui
- The Adult Role Model award recognizes an adult who models and inspires positive responsible behavior for young people.
- Community Values Youth: Children's Musical Theater San Jose
- The Community Values Youth award honors people/businesses that demonstrate to young people that the community values their contributions and efforts.
- Positive Cultural Identity: Ida Jew Academy and Valle Vista Elementary
- The Positive Cultural Identity award recognizes people, schools, or businesses that help young people feel supported, comfortable, and proud of their identity.
- Youth Role Model: Brandon Pang
- The Youth Role Model award recognizes a person, 24 years or younger, whose actions and behaviors make them positive role models for their peers. Nominators must also be 24 years old or younger.
In the Caring School Climate category, these schools are transforming their campuses into caring communities where all students are valued and feel welcomed and respected:
- Sartorette Elementary (Cambrian School District): Caring Pre-K-Elementary School
- Peterson Middle School (Santa Clara Unified School District): Caring Middle School
- Live Oak High School (Morgan Hill Unified School District): Caring High School
