September 27, 2026, Silicon Valley, CA - The YMCA of Silicon Valley is excited to launch the YMCA of Silicon Valley MLS GO Soccer League in partnership with MLS GO, RCX Sports, and the San Jose Earthquakes.
The six-week, no-cost league will bring soccer into YMCA of Silicon Valley's after school programs, giving more than 400 third and fourth graders the opportunity to learn soccer skills, build confidence, experience teamwork and belonging, and have fun.
YMCA staff will be trained as coaches, and youth will receive official MLS team kits. Games will be held Saturdays at Wilcox High School, with the YMCA Project Cornerstone asset-building skills incorporated throughout the program.
The partnership kicked off Sunday, September 27th with a soccer clinic at Buchser Middle School, where more than 100 children participated alongside Earthquakes-trained coaches. Each child received a soccer ball and shirt.
