More than 200 corporate and nonprofit executives turned out for the 2018 Corporate Philanthropy event in San Jose. They turned out at the Corinthian Grand Ballroom in downtown San Jose to see which corporation could claim the title of top giver in 2017.
The Sobrato Organization regained the No. 1 spot. Until last year, the organization had held the top ranking for five years straight, until Alphabet/Google knocked them off.
In 2017, The Sobrato Organization gave away $56 million — a 170 percent increase over the previous fiscal year.
