El Camino YMCA Project

Pool Improvements

The El Camino YMCA will be replastering its pool. The purpose is to renew an aging pool area, improve safety and accessibility, and create a cleaner, brighter, and more enjoyable environment for members and families.

The pool will be temporarily closed starting Sunday, November 1, 2026. We anticipate reopening in December 2026.

BENEFITS

  • A refreshed, more inviting pool — The pool will be completely replastered, providing a renewed, smoother finish and significantly improving the overall appearance of the pool.
  • Improved safety and code compliance — New pool tile and updated depth markers will improve visibility and bring pool markings up to current code requirements. New pool grates will also replace aging components around the pool.

WAYS TO STAY ACTIVE

Your YMCA membership gives you access to swim at all of our other YMCA of Silicon Valley locations, so you can continue enjoying aquatic programs during the renovation. We invite you to find a location near you and view their pool schedule, and group exercise classes. View in the YFitapp. Try out our new EGYM equipment available after October 8.

Please note that the closest available pool from El Camino YMCA is Palo Alto Family YMCA, 6 miles away. (Northwest YMCA's pool is closed for renovation.)
