At the YMCA of Silicon Valley, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate regardless of their ability to pay. Income should not be a barrier to becoming part of the Y community, and cost should never stand between someone and the essentials they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we offer income-based financial assistance for memberships and most programs. The Y does not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay full fees. Through financial assistance, we help ensure that cost is never a barrier to belonging.

Membership Financial Assistance

To request financial assistance for YMCA Membership, visit your local Y to have a simple and confidential conversation about your household income. Our trained staff will help you find a monthly membership rate that is affordable for you. In most cases, your eligibility will be determined on the spot, and if approved, your membership can be started right away.

Program Financial Assistance

We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We require supporting documentation to verify household size and income, and we consider special circumstances when providing assistance.
