Summer Day Camps

->Traditional Day Camps

YMCA Traditional Day Camps are all about youth voice and choice. After the first day, campers will work collaboratively with their small groups to pick the next day's activities. Our trained staff will facilitate the group picking activities from a list of over 15 exciting and fun experiences that rotate each week. Through this process campers build a sense of togetherness, collaboration, and freedom to design their day camp experiences with their friends. In addition to the group self-selected activities, each week will include a day at the pool and a fun, and engaging field trip. Locations and field trips can be viewed by searching for traditional camps on our search page.

Whether your child is an aspiring actor, an inspiring artist or simply a kid who likes to get messy, the Y has plenty of options for a summer of spotlight-shining, paint-splattering fun. Our specialty camps ensure campers are engaged and their creativity elevated.

->Specialty Camps

Youth pursue their interests and discover their potential passions through specially designed summer camps that offer a wide array of experiences. From horseback riding to roller coasters, and from laser tag to zoology, these untraditional camps will excite any child.

->Sports Camps

Your child will learn, grow and have fun on the field, on the court and on the turf. Our goal is to build a community in which every youth has the opportunity to gain new skills, improve techniques, and experience the joys of being part of a team.

->STEM Camps

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are building blocks for the future. Your child will explore and create new ways to problem solve and collaborate. We foster excitement for learning and encourage youth to expand and grow with untraditional learning methods.

->Teen Day Camps

We know it becomes harder for parents to keep their teens interested and active as they get older. That’s why our Teen Camps offer a safe place where teens can be themselves, make new friends and enjoy fun activities and field trips that are specifically-tailored towards teens evolving interests.

->School Break and Holiday Camp

Make the most of your child’s school breaks. In our holiday camps he/she will learn new skills, develop self-esteem and make new friends. And you will gain peace of mind knowing your child is engaged in safe, healthy, stimulating activities.

->Overnight Camp

YMCA Camp Campbell, our resident camp located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is the ideal place for children and families to spend quality time together in a wholesome environment. All Y camps promote values, growth and character development in the positive environment your child needs to feel secure and confident.

->Too Young For Camp?

High Five Camp is designed for campers entering kindergarten in the fall. Campers will develop the social and emotional skills through games, crafts, and skits.

Child Care In the Y’s early learning preschool and kinder readiness programs, children learn by doing. Daily lessons are created to boost development through age-appropriate activities, and stimulating hands-on experiences, with a balance of indoor and outdoor play.

Why the Y

Our focus is on youth and creating experiences that foster accomplishment, friendships and belonging.
When summer ends all of our campers will have experienced:

We provide thoughtful program activities to help youth gain new knowledge, skills, and abilities; build confidence; and discover who they are.

We facilitate relationships with and among youth, creating a space for them to make new friends and develop strong relationships with staff.

We provide a safe and inclusive environment so that every youth feels welcome and finds a place to belong

YMCA of Silicon Valley develops all of our youth programs through Project Cornerstone's 41 Developmental Assets framework. Accredited Camp Programs

All YMCA of Silicon Valley Camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).

ACA is the only independent accrediting organization reviewing camp operations in the country. ACA's nationally recognized standards program focuses primarily on program quality, health, and safety aspects of a camp's operation. ACA's accreditation is administered through a peer-review process.

ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.

Family Time

We believe that every camper is an extension of their family. At the Y we are committed to building relationships between campers, our staff and our families. Each week we invite our families to visit our camps to strengthen these relationships, meet our energetic staff, and share in the week’s success with your child.

Sibling Pricing

Families who enroll multiple children in summer day camp programs are eligible for sibling pricing. After enrolling a child in day camp, each sibling enrolled after will receive a 10% reduction in day camp fees.

After checking out, you will receive an email confirmation within two business days with instructions to login to your account to view your new camp fee balance. This balance will reflect the reduced sibling day camp fees.
