Our Focus

We focus our work in three key areas, because nurturing the potential of kids, helping people live healthier, and supporting our neighbors are fundamental to strengthening communities. Whether you’re looking for programs and services for child care, teen education and leadership, camp, health, well-being and fitness, family time, or opportunities to swim, participate in sports, or just play, at the Y, we have choices for people of all ages, interests and abilities.

Child Care

With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Overnight, day or specialty camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too. We have camps for kids in the summer and during school breaks. But camp is not just for kids. We also offer camps for adults and organizations. All our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association, meeting the highest standards in 300 areas, including health, safety, personnel, transportation, and facilities. Learn more.

Swim, Sports and Play

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

Swimming and Aquatics

As America’s leading swim instructor for more than 100 years, at the Y, we offer a wide range of swimming and aquatic programs for all ages and abilities, including swim lessons, aqua fitness classes, lap swim, family swim, swim teams, rescue skills classes, and therapeutic programs. With indoor and outdoor pools and varied schedules, there is something for everyone. Learn more.

Our youth sports programs engage children and teens in positive, fun activities that build skills, confidence and character. We emphasize fundamentals, safety, teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship. Through age-appropriate play and values-based leadership, we maintain a spirited non-competitive environment for all ability levels. We encourage parent involvement, including volunteering as a coach, official, timekeeper or team parent. Learn more.

Family Time

Serving families has always been at the heart of the Y. We are a place where you can find respite from social, economic and educational challenges, learn how to overcome them, or just spend time together having fun. Whether you’re exercising together, participating in parent-child programs, spending some time at camp, or attending family fun events at the Y, you will treasure these moments of memorable experiences in a safe and friendly environment. Come to the Y to build stronger bonds, achieve greater work/life balance, and become more engaged with your community. Learn more.

Health, Well-being & Fitness

Because we know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y includes more than just working out. In addition to our physical fitness classes and facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength. Learn more.

Teen Education & Leadership

All teens have great potential. At the Y, we help them set and achieve their personal and educational goals. They gain confidence as they recognize the Y as a place where they belong and can feel comfortable exploring new interests and passions. Through leadership and academic enrichment programs such as mentoring, youth government and college preparation, we make sure that every teen has an opportunity to envision a positive future, and to take an active role in strengthening the community.
