Jim Hori
President & CEO
For the last 22 years, Jim Hori has held leadership positions at the Silicon Valley Bank, most recently as Managing Director, in tandem with 19 years as the President of the Silicon Valley Bank Foundation. During his tenure, the foundation has substantially grown its financial impact within the community, and Jim has been recognized twice with both the President’s Award and the Community Service Award.
Deeply committed to serving his community, Hori has been on the YMCA of Silicon Valley Board of Directors for more than 10 years and served as Chairman for three years ending in 2021. He also served on the Hope Services Board of Directors for 15 years, including two years as Board Chair.

Mary Hoshiko Haughey
Chief Operating Officer
Mary is passionate about the programmatic magic found in the intersection between youth development, education and healthy living – creating impact for all members of our community. With over 42 years of YMCA leadership experience, Mary is committed to community partnerships; truly believing working together creates lasting change. Mary currently oversees our YMCA operations and serves as a national leader for the YMCA movement in expanded learning programs and youth health and wellness.
Sheryl D. Jones
Chief Financial Officer
Sheryl has over 25 years of progressive financial management and leadership experience. She has spent her entire career working in the nonprofit sector for mission driven human and social service organizations with multiple sites throughout California that consist of diverse and complex funding streams. She has extensive experience working with various government entities, foundations and private funders. It has been her primary responsibility to provide managerial, operational, and leadership support of strategic and tactical execution on all accounting, finance, budgeting, strategic planning, contracts, compliance, risk and grant management, and legal matters. She has strategically managed, safeguarded and ensured the fiscal health, integrity, and sustainability for operating budgets ranging from $12M to $120M and endowments in excess of $85M by developing and continuously improving the financial strategy, business model optimization, systems, controls, and processes. She is known for her “roll-up-your sleeves” mentality, stewardship and acquiring a deep understanding of the business and services, pushing for financial strength, flexibility, and excellence.
Sheryl has a deep commitment to community and has volunteered for the last 13 years at the food bank championing to help enhance the quality of life in the purse of a hunger-free community.
Sheryl holds a BS in Financial Management and MBA degree.

Karla Jessup
Chief Administrative & Strategy Officer
Karla joined the YMCA of Silicon Valley’s Human Resources team in 2016 following 13 years at YMCA of the Triangle in Raleigh, North Carolina. With 20+ years of human resources and management experience, that spans for-profit to nonprofit, her extensive experience leading HR initiatives supports the vision of YMCA of Silicon Valley. Karla’s expertise includes policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting, compliance reporting, HRIS implementations, HR workflow development, and benefits administration.
Patty Rally
Chief Development Officer
Patty Rally brings to the YMCA decades of experience in leadership roles with corporate, community, sports, and service organizations. Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer for JobTrain, a long-standing workforce development organization, where she more than doubled the fund development budget, launched and led a $45M capital campaign, and helped the organization grow tremendously.
Patty is native to the Bay Area, has raised her family here, and has been committed to serving the lives of individuals and families to make our community better. Patty earned her BA in Political Economics from UC Berkeley, and her MA in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.

Erin O’Toole
Vice President of Financial Development
Erin brings almost 20 years of success leading teams and strategic development initiatives for organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association, Habitat for Humanity, and Second Harvest. She has helped raise $20 million+ to support impacts of community benefit organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Through direct experience with the Y as a member and Project Cornerstone volunteer, she has seen the effects of Y programs on local youth and families, and is excited to work with the community to expand and deepen the Y impact throughout Silicon Valley.
