We deeply appreciate the understanding and patience of our Y members as we navigate the challenging circumstances related to the Coronavirus. After closing our facilities on March 17, we have a limited number of staff still working, all of whom are doing their best to assist you, while supporting rising community needs.
In difficult times, the Y responds, using our resources creatively to offer solutions. We are providing critical care for children of healthcare workers, distributing food to kids and families in low-income communities, establishing blood donation centers, providing hot meals to-go for seniors, and offering an array of virtual resources to help you and your family thrive while sheltering at home.
We need your help. You play a vital role in enabling us to deploy responsive services by continuing your membership.
This is a reminder – if you have not already completed your Membership Choice Form, please do so by Thursday, April 9. Please note: the March 20 membership draft was postponed to April 10. Going forward, draft dates remain unchanged.
Your membership choices include:
- Stay with us, and continue paying normally, to enable the Y to expand our efforts to help our community during this difficult time, and to cover general operating expenses.
- Place your membership on hold, without charge, until our Ys reopen.
We understand that some of you may have a refund due, or may want to cancel your membership, now or later. We will certainly accommodate your request; however, you may experience delays. We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Our remaining staff members are working hard to provide the assistance needed, and are prioritizing the most critical needs first.
On your Membership Choice Form, you also have the opportunity to make a donation to the Y to help us continue our critical community work. Be assured, your support will make a significant difference for many, as we navigate these difficult times.
We are so grateful for you, and our entire Y community, made up of a wide diversity of people, brought together by our belief in healthy living and youth development, and our desire to strengthen our community.
Together, we will come through this pandemic stronger than ever.
