Camp Campbell is part of the greater YMCA. Therefore we focus on building core values, strong relationships, and ensuring each child has a great week at camp. We are not just an ordinary camp looking to have only fun. We instill value based programming into all we do.
Camp Campbell only recruits the best staff out there. We were voted the best sleep away camp in Northern California for 2008 and we know our staff is the reason! You will meet staff from all over the world and make life long friendships! At Camp Campbell we expect our staff to work hard, but we also encourage them to enjoy the area and local attractions. We offer weekend excursions for our staff to experience the beautiful area. Transportation is provided for scheduled trips to Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Raging Waters (water park) and much more!
Camp Campbell is located in the heart of the tallest trees in the world. The amazing redwood trees surround our entire camp property. Come explore and play in these trees all summer.
Camp Campbell serves the greater Bay area- one of the most diverse areas in the world. Come learn about the Bay and why the people here make it so special and memorable.
Northern California has dry, warm summers. Nights are cool for a great night sleep. Days can get hot- but a short drive or bus trip to the beach on your days off are a great way to cool off.
Camp Campbell is located in Santa Cruz County, in a small town called Boulder Creek. We are just a short 10 minute walk to a small store with a bus station that will take you into Boulder Creek or all the way down to Santa Cruz. Once in Santa Cruz explore the boardwalk, beaches, or the great downtown. Learn to surf or just sit and take in the sun on your days off. Other great destinations are only a short drive away- only one and a half hours to San Francisco. Working at camp you will find new and wonderful friends to share your time off with and explore all the wonders of this great area. Stay an extra week after summer camp and plan a trip to close by Yosemite or Lake Tahoe. Options and good times are endless!
Hands on training and skill development is priceless. You could leave this summer with experience in areas like rock climbing, belaying, leading campfires, storytelling, backpacking and so much more. If a future in outdoor recreation, teaching, or any youth or adult based programming is what you are seeking, a YMCA summer camp program good, a Camp Campbell summer is GREAT!
The YMCA of Silicon Valley also has a variety of non-residential positions available at our other sites, working with children or adults. For more information, please visit our Employment Page.
