Living Strong, Living Well
This is a small group program designed for adult cancer survivors who have recently become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment or disease. This organized program of fitness and strength conditioning will help improve functional capacity and increase quality of life. The program consists of two 8-week sessions, meeting twice weekly, with a short break between sessions. The program is without cost to participants.

Body Composition Analysis
This program is designed to help you establish and identify your body fat percentages vs. your lean body mass. A YMCA Fitness Specialist will conduct a caliper test and evaluate seven different sites of the body. The idea is to establish a starting point to better track your progress throughout your fitness program. The test is recommended for all members over the age of 18 who want to alter their body composition. We invite and encourage all members who have not had a body composition analysis to register for one today.
Personal Training
Our personal training program is individualized and specifically tailored to your needs. Our certified trainers will guide you through a customized program, which will get you the results you need in the fastest and most effective way possible. You will be instructed in all components necessary to alter body composition, the use of proper bio-mechanics, anatomy, physiology, proper nutrition and much more.

Weight Training for Women (WTFW)
This class is a group experience using free weights and other equipment. Topics such as anatomy, physiology, fat loss and cardiovascular conditioning will be discussed. This course gives you the opportunity to workout next to a trainer so personalized instruction is guaranteed.
Circuit Training
Our circuit training program is designed to bring you the best cardio and strength training workout all packed into one. The circuit routine will be done using high repetitions on our Cybex VR2 selectorized equipment. It will involve as many of the major muscle groups as possible. You will enjoy every workout and be done in half the time. Cardiovascular machines will also be included. |
Aquatics
The outdoor pool at the South Valley Family YMCA is one of the main attractions for our members. Our 25-yard 6-lane pool is kept at approximately 82 degrees to accommodate the many participants in the wide variety of YMCA programs. YMCA swimmers are asked to read and follow all the pool rules, and to please shower before entering the water. Certified lifeguards are scheduled during pool hours to enforce facility rules, prevent accidents, handle emergency situations, and ensure your safety. |
Lap Swim
Lap swim is for members who wish to use swimming for a workout. Swimmers must be able to swim the full length of the pool continuously without support. If space is available exercising, walking and floating are permitted during lap swim. Workout equipment is available from the lifeguard upon request. Lap swim is for Facility Members age 11 and up. (Ages 9-14 must be able to demonstrate swimming ability of at least 200 yards) |
Recreational Swim
Recreation (Rec) swim is for members and guests of all ages. Children age 7 and under must have direct adult supervision and contact in the water at all times. Any youth requiring additional floatation devices must have someone age 14 or older in the water with them. |

Adult Group Swim Lessons
Group swim lessons are offered for adults who would like to participate in group instruction swim classes for beginner and intermediate level of swimming.
Private Swim Lessons
Private lessons are one-on-one with an instructor. They are for adults or children age 3 and up. Our swim instructor helps you establish goals as well as assess your current level of ability. Semi-Private Swim Lessons
Semi-private lessons are for two participants with one instructor. They are for adults or children age 3 and up. Both participants must register at the same time. Semi-private swim lessons consists of six, 30-minute lessons.
Swim Team – Year Round
(Ages 6-14 years) Swimmers learn fundamental training techniques necessary to become proficient competitive swimmers in a team inspired atmosphere.
