YMCA School Age Programs

At the Y, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The Y’s before and after school programs provide a safe and enriching experience for your child to discover and grow their unique interests while developing their self-esteem and confidence. Our focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic achievement means your child will have fun, grow, and thrive in our program.

Before and After School Programs

Y Before and After School Programs support children in reaching their full potential by providing academic support and hands-on enrichment experiences in a safe and structured environment for children grades Kindergarten through Middle School. Located directly on your child’s school campus, we partner with the school by working directly with teachers to support student learning. Our staff design engaging enrichment activities to help support your child’s learning in all areas.

Reach & Rise Mentoring Program

Reach & Rise™ is a national one-to-one mentoring program determined to move youth from risk to resiliency. The program helps build a better future for youth by matching them with an adult mentor for one year. Free of cost to families, trained mentors work to understand cultural and social development, mental health issues, risk factors, and offer ways to communicate and relate to youth. Mentors spend time with a participant, 6–18 years old, who may be an at risk youth dealing with low self-esteem, social isolation, family problems, peer conflicts, poor academics, and/or poor decision making skills.

The goal of the program is to help youth gain positive, consistent, and nurturing relationships with adults. To build self-esteem, decision-making skills, improve school performance and make healthy interpersonal relationships. Mentors gain personal satisfaction from making a difference in a youth’s life by devoting time and sharing your strengths. Learn more.
