Executive Director
Julie Wesolek is the Executive Director of the Sequoia YMCA. She has served as a YMCA professional for more than 21 years in California and in the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington D. C. Julie has a Master's degree in Health Management and continues to educate YMCA members about the benefits of an active lifestyle. She is a Rotarian, teaches Pilates, and dance exercise classes weekly at the Y. Julie and her husband Chris are the proud parents of two girls.
Senior Program Director
Trenton Hill has been working for the YMCA since 1999. Since starting out as a youth basketball referee, he has moved his way up and held various positions in Youth Sports, Summer Camps, Child Care, and Teens. He joined the Sequoia YMCA in December 2010 and previously worked at the El Camino YMCA in Mountain View.
Trenton received a B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Business Marketing from San Jose State University. He is always constantly looking for opportunities to learn and further his personal growth. Employed since High School, the YMCA has been an excellent guide and resource for his personal and professional development. In his free time, Trenton enjoys spending time with fiancée, son, friends and family, playing sports, working with computers, and attending sporting events and concerts.
Membership Director
Jose Garcia immigrated to the United States from Guatemala when he was 5 years old. This challenging transition taught him the importance of hard work, perseverance and the importance of connecting with his community. In high school, Jose worked creating websites for several local companies, as well as assisting with other aspects of marketing. Additionally, he contributed to a variety of layout brochures, catalogs, graphics and logos for skateboard companies. Jose started working for the Y in 2006 because he wanted help improve the lives of those in his community. He loves the family atmosphere at the Sequoia YMCA and is fond of meeting new people everyday. On his time off, Jose enjoys skateboarding, reading, drawing, playing tennis, swimming, making creations with Photoshop, watching movies, and perfecting his Elvis impersonation.
Aquatics Director
Megan started her career as a volunteer swim instructor at the Blue Water YMCA in Port Huron, Michigan, in 1998. Since then, her passion for the Y's Mission has lead her to hold many different aquatics positions, most recently in the San Diego association, and then moving up to Silicon Valley in 2009. Megan is a trainer for the YMCA of the USA Swim Lesson Program, YMCA Lifeguarding, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor. Currently, Megan oversees the aquatics and water exercise department. She also enjoys teaching water aerobics classes, and helping people find their own personal aquatics related passion. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. .
Health and Fitness Director
Mark is a veteran YMCA staff person bringing time, talent and treasure to the Sequoia YMCA with experience supervising fitness, aquatics and beyond. Mark also runs a certification program for EMTs, has taught Self Defense classes, and can often be seen enjoying a workout out in the Y Fitness Center. Mark is also an excellent Personal Trainer.
