Welcome Parents and Caring Adults!

Research has shown a positive correlation between parent engagement in schools and student achievement.

These are just a few ways in which you can engage with Project Cornerstone:

  • Volunteer in our school-based programs
  • Start a club or activity at a middle school
  • Learn how to support and promote positive Social and Emotional skills in youth by attending a parent training or workshop

Parent Engagement in Schools-Based Programs

Project Cornerstone recognizes the importance of engaging parents as caring adults and adult role models at school. Our ABC, Los Dichos, Middle School Social and Emotional Learning, and Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten programs train and prepare parents and caring adults to lead monthly activities and discussions in the classroom. Our Expect Respect program, while led by an adult, engages students to take an active role in combating bullying and peer abuse.
