Youth Fitness Programs
Our youth programs follow the
YMCA four core values, caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
Class goals enhance fitness, coordination and socialization
in a safe fun environment. Focus is on gross and fine motor
skills, balance, strength and flexibility. We use a variety
of equipment including balls, parachutes, mats, bean bags and
hula hoops. We provide classes for youth ages 6 months to 12
years old. Some of our youth activities may include movement
to music, dance, gymnastics, martial arts and yoga. Come and

Youth Martial Arts Kempo Style
Kempo is a style of martial arts that incorporates hands and feet equally (50/50). Kempo has a number of forms with a unique characteristic of having circular and linear movements. This gives the style the versatility to be considered hard and soft at the same time.
The Main Emphasis of this martial arts program is for the kids, the 'cub tigers', to enjoy and have fun by means of integrating skills and activities that enhance coordination, agility, balance, and have a cardio workout. In addition, the 'cub tigers' will be learning basic self-defense skills, in conjunction with values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and discipline.
