Most of us want to "get
in shape" but we have a hard time sticking to an exercise
program. It takes a lot of effort and a little help from our
friends to make regular physical activity a long-term habit.
At the Palo Alto Family YMCA we want to help you
break the "start-stop" cycle and really succeed at
taking responsibility for your health and fitness. We have the
facilities and equipment, and we have the staff. We appreciate
how difficult it is to carve out time in a busy life. But we
also know how important it is to quality of life and to disease
prevention. At the YMCA, you will find staff and members who
will help you meet your wellness goals.
We will set you up on
FitLinxx our computerized system that
helps you track your exercise activities and helps keep you
and the staff in
touch with each other. If you choose, we'll teach you how to
use the strength training and cardiovascular health equipment.
We'll
introduce
you
to
group exercise classes of your choice, both in the gym and
in the pool. And more importantly, we'll introduce you to other
YMCA
members
with whom you will make friends and build a support network.
