Scott Glissmeyer

Scott has been a YMCA professional since 1989, when he became the Aquatics Director of the Stonestown Family YMCA in San Francisco. In the following years, he was Fitness Director at the Richmond District YMCA and opened the new Presidio Community YMCA on the site of the former Army base. Beginning in 1998, Scott was on the staff of the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA in north San Diego County, serving for four years as Associate Executive Director. He assumed the role of Associate Executive Director at Palo Alto Family YMCA and was promoted to Executive Director in 2006. He is a native of Stockton and a graduate of San Francisco State University.
Lee Pfab

Lee Pfab has served three local YMCA associations (YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula, Mt. Diablo Region YMCA and YMCA of San Francisco) and YMCA of the USA in a variety of professional and volunteer positions since 1994. In her current role, she is responsible for branch and program operations and member satisfaction. Lee also provides leadership and direction to the Youth, Membership, Facilities, Health and Wellness and Aquatic departments. She leads the Staff and Teams Division of our Annual Giving Campaign. Lee has directed the Northern California Program School and YMCA Principles and Practices, and has served as a Board Member for her local AYP chapter. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communications.
Nettie Azoulay

Nettie began her YMCA career in 1995 as a group exercise instructor. Over the years she gained extensive experience in the nonprofit sector working in fitness. Nettie received an undergraduate degree in languages and speaks both French and Spanish. She currently is pursuing a master’s degree in kinesiology.
Ana Valencia

Ana has worked in the nonprofit arena serving children and families since she was 14. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University, she quickly realized that working with youth was her true calling. In her current role, she oversees teen programming at Palo Alto Family YMCA and at the Ventura Center, an offsite teen center serving middle and high school students.
Avery Wu

Avery began his career in aquatics in 1996, working for San Francisco Parks & Recreation and the University of California of San Francisco. His extensive background includes competitive swimming and coaching. He received a bachelor’s degree in business finance and worked in public relations for three years.
Diana Turner
Director of Group Wellness - 650-842-7157
Diana is responsible for all adult group exercise classes, the climbing wall, the gymnasium, adult sports programs, massage, meditation, and health and fitness special events. She began her YMCA experience in 1993 as a volunteer strength training instructor and fitness tester at Central YMCA in San Jose. Soon after, she became a staff member and advanced to serve as Central YMCA’s Health and Fitness Director. In 2002, she transferred to Palo Alto Family YMCA, where she leads staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality fitness programs that focus on the total health of members and participants. Diana received a master's degree in kinesiology, with an emphasis in exercise physiology.
Francis Lopez

Francis began his YMCA career in 2002 at our Ventura Center, where he managed community service activities for youth in our community. He then transferred to Palo Alto Family YMCA, working in registration and wellness coaching. Over the years Francis served as a lead staff member, Associate Membership Director and now as the Membership Director.
Jeff Maier

Jeff is responsible for the Childwatch, KidZone, Family Gym, and Family-Zone areas at Palo Alto Family YMCA, as well as the Model United Nations and Adventure Guides programs. Prior to coming to our YMCA, he was involved with the California YMCA Youth & Government program for 13 years. His experience includes managing recreational and special events. He received a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration from California State University Hayward.
Melissa Bryden
Director of Youth Aquatic Programs - 650-842-7155
Melissa started her YMCA career as a Day Camp Leader for the San Ramon Valley YMCA. She joined Palo Alto Family YMCA in 2004 as a Swim Lesson Coordinator and then transferred to the Youth and Family department, where she oversees the parent/child, preschool, and youth swimming programs.
Patty Doolittle

Patty began her YMCA career in 1987 in Member Services. Over the years, she has served in many roles, including capital campaign Administrative Assistant, branch Bookkeeper, Administrative Department Lead, and in branch and Association Office IT positions. In 2004 she was promoted to Administrative Services Director and currently serves as the staff liaison for the Branch Diversity/International Committee. She received a bachelor’s degree in art history from Principia College.
Stephanie Hannah
Director of Communications
Stephanie Hannah began her career working at the Welcome Center at El Camino YMCA in 2000, transferred to Northwest YMCA as Administrative Manager in 2005 and became the Director of Communications in 2008. Since that time, she has pursued a passion for marketing, information technology and campaigning, which led her to her current role.
Sally Sautner
Associate Aquatics Director
Sally started her aquatics career in 2001 as a YMCA swim instructor in North Dakota. Prior to coming to Palo Alto Family YMCA, she was a science teacher and competitive swimming coach for youth and adult swimmers. She joined our staff in 2010, working with youth and adults in aquatics. She currently oversees all youth group swim lessons, private swim lessons, and the swim club. She received a bachelor’s degree in earth science education and geology from North Dakota State University.
