The YMCA has been America's leading swim instructor for more than 100 years. But our aquatics programs extend beyond instruction. We also provide recreational, competitive and specialty aquatics programs for all ages and abilities, including parent-child classes, water exercise and therapy, water safety and rescue, and water sports. Programs and classes vary by location.
Like all Y programs, swimming is open to all with financial assistance available.

Swim Lessons for all ages
For more than 130 years, the Y has been the nation’s leading provider of swim lessons and has helped children of all ages improve their swimming skills, learn water safety and build relationships with others – all while having fun! Whether your child is taking his/her your first dip in the water, or hoping to perfect his/her stroke, we’re confident we have the right program for you.
All of our instructors have been trained according to national YMCA swim lesson standards and are certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. In addition to helping your child learn all four strokes, our instructors also embrace the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and model behaviors that help children grow into caring and responsible adults.

Recreational & Lap Swimming
Special times are available for members interested in both lap swimming and recreational swim. Certain requirements apply for children who wish to swim without an adult in the water.
Swimming is great exercise! Do a serious water workout or just get your heart rate up a little. Lanes are designated for fast, medium or slow-paced swimmers.
Aqua Arthritis and Exercise
Water exercise is an excellent way for those with arthritis to build up strength, ease stiff joints and relax sore muscles. Water buoyancy greatly reduces the pressure on your joints, making it easier to increase needed range of motion.
Aqua Exercise class information is located in our Group Exercise schedule.
Let’s Party! Pool parties are great for birthdays, family get together, neighborhood outings, business outings and more.
