YMCA Licensed Preschool Program

(Ages 3-5) YMCA Preschool programs offer a wonderful place where your child can learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. The programs are operated on an experiential learning philosophy—children learn by doing. The theme-based curriculum includes skill building for kindergarten readiness through a literacy-based circle time, arts, dramatic play, math concepts, building blocks, manipulatives, games, and physical play.

Child Care

The East Valley Family YMCA currently coordinates 5 child care sites in the Evergreen and Milpitas School Districts, and in Berryessa. Our Child Care programs deliver stimulating learning experiences in a safe environment that will enhance your child's social, intellectual, physical and emotional development. Our staff is caring, imaginative and well trained with the necessary credentials to work and play with young people.

Our Child Care programs offer several convenient operating hours (offerings may vary by location):

Kinder Time - 8:00am-11:30am 
Kinder Time - 11:30am-2:15pm
After School - 2pm-6pm

After School

This program is designed as a free After School comprehensive program for today's changing society, not only for working families but also to enrich children's lives. The program is a combination of several components. It must be emphasized that it is not to be an extension of the school but rather compliment school in a manner that is fun for the child. A long term goal of the program is to help the child develop socially through small group work while emphasizing the child as an individual. Program participants are divided into small groups based on age and maturity.
