In 1997 he relocated to Tijuana, Mexico, as Director of the Casa YMCA. He returned to East Valley Family YMCA in 2001 as a Lifeguard before being named Associate Program Director of Aquatics and Aquatics Director. In 2008 he assumed responsibility for the branch's Group Exercise program. |

From there, she moved to East Valley Family YMCA as Administrative Manager before assuming her current position. |

Diablo Region YMCA working in summer day camp and preschool programs. She was named Program Director of Children and Family Services in 2001. She relocated to San Jose in 2005 as a Child Care Director and assumed her current position in 2007. |

Lupe Ruvalcaba
Lupe Ruvalcaba is Associate Executive Director of East Valley Family YMCA. She began her YMCA career in 1999 as a Noontime Sports Leader for the Mayfair Program before being named Youth Program Coordinator for its literacy program and the Mayfair Summer Day Camp Director. She served as Teen Director overseeing the branch's Y-Achievers Program and Youth and Government and opened a new Teen Center at the facility. Through the years, she has held a variety of positions, including Senior Program Director overseeing after-school enrichment programs, Associate Executive Director for Community Programs overseeing licensed child care, and roles in camp, youth sports, technology, marketing, and the branch's Arts and Humanities department. She is a recipient of the 2005 Portrait of Success: An Exemplary Leadership Award Honoring Hispanic Role Models. She received a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree from Springfield College. |

Mario Vargas
Mario Vargas is Executive Director of East Valley Family YMCA. He has nearly three decades of experience with the YMCA. He began his YMCA involvement as a teen volunteer in youth sports and joined the YMCA staff as a Camp Leader for the Yolo County YMCA in Woodland, California. In 1985, he began working in the Greater Sacramento YMCA in various roles and branches. In 1991, he moved to the YMCA of San Diego County's Mission Valley YMCA as a Program Director before relocating to the Bay Area in 1997 as Associate Executive Director at Southwest YMCA in Saratoga. He was promoted to Executive Director at Southwest YMCA in 2002 and later assumed his current position at East Valley Family YMCA. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis. |

Justin Yaeger is Director of Marketing and Technology for East Valley Family YMCA. He oversees the Excellence in Engineering Enrichment program that supplies San Jose elementary school students with hands-on engineering, architecture, film and robotics lessons. He began his YMCA career leading an art and recreation day camp and after-school mentoring programs at Duluth YMCA in Duluth, Minnesota. He relocated to San Jose and assumed his current position in 2007. |
