Youth SportsYouth Sports

Our sports programs develop more than skills—they develop character. We offer a variety of programs for youth and adults, including recreation and league sports. Coaches—often volunteers and including many parents—emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and developing good values.

Like all Y programs, Youth Sports is open to all with financial assistance available.

For more information about Youth Sports programs at the Lewis and Joan Platt East Palo Alto Family YMCA, email us or visit our YMCA.

Welcome to YMCA Youth Sports. We strive to provide a positive experience for players, coaches, and families. All leagues are instructional in nature with competition increasing as players get older. Our youth sports programs emphasize participation, fundamentals, fitness, teamwork, character development, asset development, family involvement and fun.

->Youth Soccer League

In this league, your child will learn the basic fundamentals and strategies of soccer, such as passing, dribbling, trapping, heading and shooting. They also participate in scrimmages throughout the program to shape their skills and enjoy the thrill of competition. Shin guards are required to participate.

Our youth soccer leagues combine elements of fun while emphasizing skill development and good sportsmanship. Participants will be placed on teams ensuring that everyone plays and that all teams have equal ability. Ages 5-13

->Youth Basketball League
