High Intensity Interval Training at Central YMCA

It’s time to sweat. Improve your overall fitness with this high intensity and constantly changing small group exercise class. Get a training session blasting all your major muscle groups, get motivated with powerful music, and track your success with our InBody Scan scale. The time to get out of your comfort zone is now!

BODYSTEP at Central YMCA

An efficiently functioning cardiorespiratory system is essential for physical activity. At Central YMCA, participants are encouraged to work at their own pace while the instructor creates safe and appropriate exercise intensities, sequences, and methods of monitoring cardiorespiratory levels. Classes typically consist of 20 to 60 continuous minutes of cardiorespiratory exercise.

-> CARDIO/STRENGTH

Enhance Fitness at Central YMCA

Typical Cardio & Strength classes at Central YMCA work on strengthening major muscle groups used for routine living. These classes focus on muscle balance, maintaining proper form, verbal, visual, and physical cues on posture/alignment and bodily mechanisms, equipment safety and a motivational atmosphere.

Strength & Cardio classes include bootybarre®, Enhance®Fitness, INSANITY®, P90X®. Pictured: Enhance®Fitness

CYCLING

Cardio Classes at Central YMCA

Cycling classes are great for increasing cardiovascular health and burning calories. Our instructors will lead you through a well-planned routine, allowing each participant to work at his or her own desired level. Classes are either 45 minutes, or one hour. Bike shoes are not required, but we do recommend a stiff-soled tennis shoe for the best support.

DANCE

Dance Classes at Central YMCA

Our dance group exercise classes focus on following choreography, engaging your muscles, and having fun, all while moving to music. Dance classes are great for all levels and will give you a great cardiovascular workout.

Dance classes include Ballroom Dance, Belly Dance, Dance Aerobics, U-Jam®, Zumba®, Zumba Gold®. Pictured: Zumba®

Meditation at Central YMCA

Mind & Body group exercise classes include stretching of major muscle groups performed in a safe and effective manner, and relaxation and visualization at the conclusion of the flexibility segment.

Mind and Body classes include Meditation, Qigong, Tai Chi. Pictured: Meditation

TRX at Central YMCA

Yoga at Central YMCA

Our yoga and pilates classes are specifically designed to help challenge the body, and calm the mind. Relaxation pairs with core strength and flexibility in our yoga and pilates offerings.

Yoga & Pilates classes include BODYFLOW™, Gentle Yoga, Meditative Yoga, Pilates, Power Yoga and Yin Yoga. Pictured: Yoga.
