Capital Development

Over the years, the YMCA of Silicon Valley has changed lives by providing life-affirming programs and services where they are needed most. From Gilroy to Redwood City, from San Jose to Palo Alto, local YMCAs have anchored communities, reinforced family bonds, and helped thousands of people to attain greater health and well-being.

Capital Development efforts allow the Y to expand its reach and multiply the impact of its programs and services. Expansions or renovations of existing facilities and the development of new facilities ensure that the YMCA is ready to meet the ever changing needs of our region.

Our primary capital development project today is the renovation of YMCA Camp Campbell, a resident camp in the Santa Cruz mountains. For more than 70 years, Camp Campbell has provided exceptional recreational experiences for kids and families. Now the YMCA aims to raise $19.6 million to replace and renew facilities that are outdated and failing due to decades of loving use.

For our vision for the future of Camp Campbell, see our brochure: Transforming Camp Campbell. For more information, you may also contact Robb Hermanson, Senior Vice President of Development, at (408) 351-6454 or rhermanson@ymcasv.org.
