Kathy Riggins
President & Chief Executive Officer

Kathy Riggins has 30 years of experience leading Y organizations. She planned and executed the merger of two strong Ys in this region, creating YMCA of Silicon Valley. She successfully completed two major capital campaigns totaling $35 million in funding. She was previously the CEO of the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula. Kathy has received several of the Y’s highest national honors, including Fundraiser of the Year from the North American YMCA Development Organization and the Spirit of Woman Award from YMCA of the USA.

 

Elizabeth Jordan
Chief Operations Officer

Elizabeth has more than 15 years of experience developing Y operating strategies. She currently oversees all operations for our 11 health and wellness facilities, our resident camp and all programs and services. Prior to this position, Elizabeth served as Senior Vice President of Operations in this association and Chief Operating Officer for the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula. During the transition period prior to the merger, Elizabeth served as Interim President for YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula.

Eduardo Barrantes
Chief Financial Officer

Ed has 30 years of experience with large and mid-size multinational corporations. He has held the title of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in high-tech, financial, and medical international corporations, and has spent several years as a financial consultant to many other multi-national organizations. Ed has been helping the Y achieve financial success and deliver on our mission for six years.

 

Judy Hayner
Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer

With more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience, Judy is responsible for leading and managing our process of innovation – identifying and developing creative new strategies, opportunities and ideas to further the mission of the Y. She also leads all marketing and communications initiatives for our association. Prior to joining the Y, Judy managed worldwide marketing for Hewlett-Packard’s $1 billion service business, developing and introducing services that generated profitable new growth of $200 million per year. She later joined the HP Leadership and Development team creating comprehensive leadership development programs for the highest level HP executives.

Drew Starr
Chief Talent Officer

Drew has more than 20 years of Human Resources experience, including 9 years as Vice President of Human Resources for the YMCA of the East Bay and 8 years serving in a variety of Vice President positions at Wells Fargo Bank. Drew is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Mary Hoshiko Haughey
Vice President of Operations - Youth Development & Social Responsibility

Mary has 34 years of experience as a Y professional and volunteer. She provides leadership to all the branches for youth development and social responsibility initiatives and programs, including the management of Project Cornerstone, a community-wide initiative. Mary serves as the national leader for the YMCA movement in after school care, child care and youth health and wellness. She has led several Y-USA program initiatives, most recently, as writer and trainer for the new Y-USA Achievement Gap Signature programs.

 

John Remy
Vice President of Operations, Healthy Living

John has been a YMCA professional for 37 years. John provides leadership for all our branches in membership development and healthy living initiatives. He is also currently responsible for the direct supervision of five of our health and wellness facilities. In the past, John served for thirteen years as a branch Executive Director. He has been recognized by the Association of Professional Directors of the YMCA’s for administrative excellence in operating budget administration.

John Noland
Senior Vice President of Operations

John has 20 years of experience as a Y professional. He is responsible for the operations of our 11 full-facility branches and our resident camp. John joined YMCA of Silicon Valley in 2013 after serving 10 years at YMCA of the USA, where he was an integral part of several national initiatives including Activate America and Living Our Cause. Prior to that, he was an Executive Director for the YMCA of the Columbia-Willamette, where he led operations and oversaw the construction of three new facilities. John started his Y career in San Diego as a Program Director.

David Fisch
Vice President of Property

Dave has 15 years of project management experience. During his 11 years with the Y, he has led and managed countless major projects including the YMCA Camp Campbell transformation and a 17 million construction and renovation project for East Palo Alto. Prior to joining the Y, Dave served in project management capacities for the International School of the Peninsula and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
